WORLD BOOK AND COPYRIGHT DAY AT DPS KHANNA

Students work during World Book and Copyright Day

Delhi Public School Khanna celebrated ‘World Book and Copyright Day’ on 23rd April 2012 with great zeal and enthusiasm.

April 23rd marks the anniversary of the birth or death of a range of well known writers, including William Shakespeare, Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, Maurice Druon, Inca Garcilaso De La Vega Vladimir Nabokov, Haldor Kiljan Laxness, Manuel Mejia Vallejo and Joseph Pla. For this reason, UNESCO’s General Conference chose this date to pay tribute to books and authors who wrote them and the copyright laws that protect them.

Students read articles, poems and shared thoughts on this day. The day concluded with Bookmark Making Competition in which each student of Std. I – VIII participated enthusiastically.
