Inauguration of Basketball Court at Delhi Public School Khanna

In its ongoing effort to promote international level sports in the area, Delhi Public School, Khanna formally opened its basketball court today. Mr. Andrew Cuk, a professional coach from Australia was present in the school to give tips to students and acquaint them with the finer aspects of the game. Mr. Cuk started playing the game at the age of five. He played for the Bearcats Team in Australia and also coached a women's team comprising of Australia wide professionals in a Masters League where they excelled. He feels that people should take to this sport to stay fit and build a team spirit. He interacted with the students of from Grade 5 to Grade 9.He was pleased with the sports facilities at the school and felt that they will go a long way in producing some fine sportspersons and athletes. The school Vice Chairperson Mrs.Annu Bains encouraged the children to get fit and active as this will also impact their academic performance.
