POSITIVE PARENTING WORKSHOP KICKS OFF AT DPS KHANNA

An orientation programme was held at DPS Khanna on the 30th of March, 2012. The culmination of this programme took place on the 31st of March, 2012. This special programme was conducted by Mrs. Bharti Kapoor who is the Managing Director at ODE (Optimising Development Education). Mrs. Kapoor is a psychologist, trainer and a counselor. She is completely committed towards improving the quality of life for parents and children through various techniques and methods learned over the years. The teachers and parents were empowered with powerful tools geared towards helping them make a difference in the lives of children. She spoke about the need for positive parenting and provided tips on how to bring out the best in children. The first day of the programme ended with an open house session where the parents were encouraged to address the specific needs of their children. Mrs. Kapoor provided valuable guidance to parents and educators to recognize diversity in the classroom and at home.
