
Delhi Public School Khanna proudly unveiled its Student Council for the academic session 2026–27 during a solemn Investiture Ceremony held on 29 May 2026. Mr Rahul Sur, IPS (Retd.) and former UN official, presided over the ceremony as the Chief Guest.
In the Senior Students Council, Mannat Kaur was appointed as the Head Girl, while Man Inderpreet Singh was appointed as the Head Boy. Agamnoor Kaur and Parth Gupta were entrusted with the responsibilities of Deputy Head Girl and Deputy Head Boy, respectively. Brahamjot Kaur was appointed as the Sports Captain.
The House Captains appointed for the four houses are: Aarchi Goyal for Falcons, Harkirat Kaur for Panthers, Ishmeen Kaur for Stallions, and Dilshanpreet Kaur for Tuskers.
The school also appointed a dedicated team of prefects: Navya Sharma, Amreen Kaur, Mahekleen Kaur, Lovleen Kaur, Kalpam Garg, Dilnoor Singh, Guntasdeep Kaur, and Mannatvir Kaur.
In the Junior Council, Aishleen Kaur Dhanoa was appointed as the Head Girl, while Kiyansh Gupta was selected as the Head Boy. Keerat Khanna and Krishnav Gupta were entrusted with the responsibilities of Deputy Head Girl and Deputy Head Boy, respectively. The posts of Sports Captain Girls and Sports Captain Boys were awarded to Ravya Bhatia and Aviraj Singh Nagra.
The House Captains appointed for the four houses are: Pragunn Jarhia for Falcons, Arnav Kaushik for Panthers, Naira for Stallions, and Aura Goyal for Tuskers.
The school also appointed a team of prefects comprising Ishkirat Kaur, Jaskirat Kaur, Simardeep Kaur, Vihaana Batra, Amanat Kaur Gill, Samaira Bajaj, Ganieve Sharma, and Daanya Jindal.
In his address, Mr Sur encouraged students to recognise their strengths, make wise choices, and become responsible citizens who contribute positively to society.
The Principal, Mrs Sushmita Kanungo, emphasised that true leadership is rooted in responsibility, integrity, and teamwork.
The Chairman, Mr D.S. Bains, urged the Council Members to uphold the school motto, “Service Before Self,” and use their leadership roles to serve society with dedication and purpose.
The programme concluded with a high tea and wide smiles on the faces of the newly appointed office bearers.
