DPS Khanna Organizes 7th Annual Sports Meet


Next, a spectacular and a well synchronized March Past by all the four houses left the spectators awestruck. The most interesting aspect which embellished the event was the splendid display of field events that included ‘Horse Riding Show’, ‘Yoga’, ‘PT Show’ and ‘Karate’. This was followed by track & field events by senior students that included 100 m races, 200 m races & 4x 100 m Relay Race. The students of the pre-primary wing also participated with great zeal and zest in 50 m ‘Cross the Tunnel Race’, 50 m ‘Cross the Box Race’ & 50 m ‘Hurdle Race’.

The Chief Guest, Lt, Gen.B.S Dhaliwal, in his address lauded the Sports Day event and stated that it was perfect. He said that he could gauge the efforts taken by teachers and students for such a flawless presentation.

This brought us to the Prize Distribution Ceremony. The Chief Guest gave away the prizes to the winners  Sahilpreet Singh of XI & Ashpreet Kaur  of XII were declared the Best Athletes 2017 in  the Boys  and Girls Category. The Falcon House was adjudged the Best House in the March Past & the Overall Best House Trophy was grabbed by the Tusker House. The Meet was declared closed by the Chief Guest. The vote of thanks was proposed by the Sports Girls Captain, Manveer Kaur Deol. The event saw its culmination with the National Anthem.

Annual School Fete and Art Exhibition Organized at DPS Khanna


A throng of people came to attend the function .Delicious and mouth watering food items such as ‘Pizza’. ‘Dosa’, ‘Chaat-Tikki’, were available at different stalls. They were relished by the visitors.

Apart from this, many on the spot competitions  such as ‘Healthy Baby Show’, ‘Solo Song  Competition, ‘ Solo Dance Competition , “Painting Competition’,‘ Fancy Dress Competition’ etc.got an overwhelming response.

The exciting game of ‘Tambola’was the centre of attraction. Joy rides, a variety of fun games such as ‘ Hit the Handee, ‘Disco Balls, ‘Target Your Aim’, ‘Hoopla’, ‘ Khatron  ke Khilari’ etc. were  also enjoyed by the visitors.

An Art Exhibition was also put up by the students of Delhi Public School Khanna. It exhibited the hidden talent of the students. A range of art & craft items, decoration pieces, paintings, landscapes, sculptures prepared by the students the year round were displayed in the exhibition.

Many attractive prizes were won by the lucky winners in the Lucky Draw Contest.

Mr. D.S. Bains lauded the hard work of the teachers who always act as the guiding force behind the students. He also extended his felicitation to all who made the function a grand success.

4th International & 6th Indian Psychological Science Congress


The students of Psychology participated in the 4th International & 6th Indian Psychological Science Congress which was held at Panjab University, Chandigarh from 18-20 September 2017 on “Psychological Well Being: Reflections across the culture”.

There was a workshop by Prof. Paed Dr. Milada from Czech Republic, titled “Sport Science and Well-Being” and another workshop on Mindfulness Integrated Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (MICBT) conducted by Prof. M.P. Sharma and Dr. Ajay Kumar from NIMHANS Bengaluru.

The students were appreciated and encouraged during their technical sessions by the session chairpersons for the hard work they have done for presenting the research paper and getting such exposure at the younger stage as a school student. There were 8 Psychology students in total from Class XII & XI who actively participated in the empirical research papers.
